Matcha is a fine powdered Green Tea traditionally used in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. It is highly valued for its sharp bite followed by a lingering sweetness. High in antioxidants, chlorophyll, and fiber.
Brew 1/2 teaspoon per medium tea bowl. Add water at 80 degrees Celsius and whisk. Serve: Hot or Chilled
Storage: Reseal tightly after opening. Refrigeration recommended and avoid humidity for best serving.
Matcha & Lime Iced Tea
1 cup filtered water, 1 teaspoon Matcha, 1 cups crushed ice, 1/2 lime, sliced
handfuls of mint, optional: honey or cane sugar (or minty syrup, )
Instructions: Using a cocktail shaker (or a large jar with a non-leaky lid) shake together the water and matcha until there are no lumps.
Add the ice, a squeeze of lime, handfuls of mint and shake it some more. (Add sweetener if you like). Pour into glasses with extra lime slices and mint.
